Sending a big “FU” to the corporate side of the fashion industry.
As an increasingly successful fashion blogger, I have been targeted by several brands, large & small, one of which is quite a large corporation. Why? Because I am undermining a very important part of their money making system.
Today, the fashion industry is split in half. You have Women’s fashion & Men’s fashion. You will find designers here and there who produce androgynous designs but for the most part, the industry (brands & corporate companies) want designers who either design Men’s wear or Women’s wear, and follow a very gendered structure. Everything from the tailoring to the materials has to be specific to the binary boy/girl gender system. This is why you can’t find feminine style’s of clothing tailored for the average males body type in any department store, thus creating a “mens” & “women’s” division.
Every time I modify the clothing I buy in department stores to fit my body type and then model it for people to see, not only am I inspiring people to step out of the box with their fashion choices, but I am merging two markets into one. Why is this bad for corporations?MONEY More markets equal more advertising and marketing opportunities which ultimately leads to more sales and more profit.
When I successfully inspire people to be less mindful about if they look like a girl or a boy, ultimately I am inspiring them to go against the gendered market system that brands and clothing companies make so much money off of.
I have received several hateful emails, discouraging my efforts as a fashion blogger. I was even asked by a large corporate clothing company to STOP buying their clothing and modifying it to fit my body type. They stated that by doing so, and sharing it with my audience that I was creating the illusion that gender did not exist, and that I am leading a bad example for society. …
A GENDERED SOCIETY CREATES A HUGE PROBLEM. IT DIVIDES PEOPLE.IT SEPERATES. IT CONTROLS. IT DISOLVES ANY & ALL ORIGINALITY.
FUCK YOU, to any clothing brand, company & corporation who’s got a problem with who I am, what I believe in & how I express myself.

Dead Inside: Do Not Enter — Notes from the Zombie Apocalypse

Dead Inside: Do Not Enter
by Lost Zombies
Chronicle
2011, 160 pages, 8 x 10 x 0.5 inches
$15 Buy a copy on Amazon

Some of my favorite things about zombie movies are the details of the changed world. The dead grass, broken windows, toppled telephone poles, abandoned cars with missing wheels and trunks left open, boarded-up buildings, spent ammo shells, and other signs of struggle and desperation serve to create a fascinatingly creepy environment.

And that’s why I like Dead Inside: Do Not Enter so much. The book consists entirely of letters, hand-written warnings, and pages torn from journal entries that were written during the zombie pandemic. The notes are on matchbooks, napkins, photographs, advertisements, shopping lists, road maps, scraps of cardboard, and gum wrappers. Some of the notes are written with pen and pencil, others are written with lipstick, burnt wood, crayons, and blood.

The messages of the notes themselves tell the tale of the rise of the zombie pandemic, from tentative, joking questions about a “really bad flu,” escalating to confused panic, and later to grim acceptance of the new reality that the survivors now must live in.

In the introduction to Dead Inside, we learn that these notes had been found in a Dora the Explorer backpack. The first note presented in the book was written by the man who killed the owner of the backpack, a girl who was about 10 years old and had been bitten by a zombie (but had not yet turned into one). The man wrote “I opened her backpack and found all these notes and letters. This stuff is poisonous. No one in their right mind should read it. Reading this is like looking into the sun.” – Mark Frauenfelder

CAN Y’ALL CHILL FOR LIKE 2 SECONDS WITH THE MISOGYNISTIC HATE TOWARDS UTSUMI LIKE SERIOUSLY OH MY GOD SHE’S A REAL FUCKING PERSON YOU DO REALIZE THAT RIGHT
like it started w/ all the “disgusting fujoshit!!!!11” bullshit as if 90% of y’all calling her that weren’t fujoshi yourselves and then it devolved into calling her a dumb bitch because she isn’t pandering to your pairing/headcanons every fucking episode and now this
like this kind of childish bullshit honestly disgusts me and y’all posting shit like this about a person who’s literally done nothing more than have a show that didn’t meet all your expectations or has “bad writing”. like i’m not even gonna go into how bullshit all those claims are because it doesn’t matter if she’s the worst writer in the world there’s literally no reason for you to bring her sexual history into this or call her slurs as if that’s any of your fucking business i don’t fucking care if there’s a chance she sees it or not S T O P. DOING. THIS.

i hope its okay if i reblog this because i saw this earlier too.. and seeing things like this severely disappoints and disgusts me. a majority of the fandom is personally going out and making degrading remarks like this and attacking kyoani, free! director, and free!’s writers.. and their excuse is basically because “they’re so ~biased~ to rin, its unprofessional!!1” or “episode 12 was such shit because its just rinharu fanservice filler woOW haru is ooc (insert more whining complains here)”. its just plain immature and annoying but its everywhere and really shocking that a majority of the fandom shares this kind of mindset all because they’re offended that the directors like rin. wow? a creator of their own show.. liking their OWN characters?? apparently that’s like blasphemy to these types of people.
let me remind that people basically assumed that utsumi and yokotani are big rin fans all because of comments from an interview but i’m pretty sure they love the rest of the characters as well? otherwise, why would they bother writing the show. another comment that’s been going around is how koji oji (writer of high speed!) would be disappointed in the anime and i’m just laughing? HS2 was commissioned from what i’ve heard but that’s not the point— its just that these people think they’re so self-entitled and that they believe their twisted and skewed views can be the /right/ way and continue to be ignorant to canon and view the entire show in a biased aspect to the extent where they’ve misread all of the context. its gotten so extreme to the point where if something doesn’t cater their way, they’ll go and bash on the director and writer, who has worked tirelessly on the show. WITHOUT UTSUMI, YOU WOULDN’T EVEN HAVE THE FREE! ANIME THAT WE HAVE NOW. its silly nonsense to be bitter that she as expressed positive things about rin. i bet that if it was about a different character then no one would be complaining right? people are such hypocrites for whining about how “the show is making everything about rin,” when they’re making everything centered around makoto (i’m not generalizing and saying everyone did this but a majority of the population). as i recall, makoto had two episodes dedicated for his arc kinda and rin had about 20 seconds of screentime for 2 episode. as for episode 12, it is clear that they’re being bitter and fail to understand how important that episode was for the plot and the narrative. they’re mainly just focused on how rin and haru finally got to interact and that is was all “utsumi’s fault for ruining the show with her biases”. also calling haru ooc when its actually happening in canon is the most hilarious thing ever.. acting as if they have any power over a character and that they understand it more than the actual creators. right. keep classy free! fandom
tl dr; the creators of free! and kyoani have done absolutely nothing wrong and seriously if you hate them and the show so much then just do the rest of us a favor and stop watching the fucking show and shut up because you’re wasting your time and making an idiot out of yourself. seriously no one is forcing you to watch free!. . if you reach a point where you’re attacking people who haven’t done anything wrong due to a character or pairing then please reconsider your actions and life. you’re blatantly plain disrespectful to REAL people over fictional things

This is really pathetic and unfortunately I’ve seen a bunch of tweets from people hating on them. Maybe things aren’t going their way, but that’s no reason to act like a two year old and throw a temper tantrum.

What??  This is ridiculous.
